Official Pittsburgh Steelers Player 2020 Shirt

Always wondered what it must have been like  Official Pittsburgh Steelers Player 2020 Shirt as a veteran of the Japanese military after WWII. Were they vilified or did they get the same respect that Americans give our vets? It’s odd really. I have a friend who was a royal marine who said he’s never had people praise him the way Americans praise our troops. I know surrender was looked down upon in the Japanese military during WWII. So how do they feel about the Japanese standing down? I know it’s out of the hands of the guys who were on the front lines but would that change people’s minds? Everyone served the military.

Official Pittsburgh Steelers Player 2020 Shirt, Tank Top, V-neck, Sweatshirt And Hoodie

So there wasn’t a sense of anything negative  Official Pittsburgh Steelers Player 2020 Shirts about those that came back. Men served while the women made munitions or supplies. It’s probable relief from the families back home to see their sons and fathers come back. There was absolutely no vilification. If you’re interested and have the time I really recommend you to read John Dower’s Embracing Defeat. It deals exactly with the question of “what happened in Japan after the surrender.”. The people hated the war and collectively put the blame on a few select groups while desperately trying to forget the horrific details. A really good read and Dower is quite an authoritative figure in academia.
