1999 was it for me. The Funny Social Distancing Since 1837 Vintage Shirt, Fight Club, Blair Witch Project, American Beauty, The Mummy, Being John Malkovich, Green Mile, Sixth Sense, Office Space, Galaxy Quest.. a new Star Wars movie. I could go on, 1999 was a killer year for movies. Sure was! I might be wrong, but I believe it was largely because of this very year of movies that the director of The Truman Show specifically only wanted Carrey for the lead role. Felt he was essentially already living in the role with how huge he’d become. Good fucken times. Tropic Thunder is absolutely hilarious.

In 10th grade, I sat next to an Funny Social Distancing Since 1837 Vintage Shirt, Robert Downey Jr and Ben Stiller. The kid was an annoying douche so we all thought he was full of shit until he brought the script for Tropic Thunder in and a picture of him with the cast. He was actually in the movie, he plays Matthew McConaughey’s son for a split second, you see him in a picture frame. I think he also did some MTV movie awards skit with the cast too.
