I’ve found some recipes online for edible finger paint Nice Do Not Revive Shirt, but not sure how well it’ll stick to the pumpkin. I’m going to try with my 9-month-old though! We’ve also done PVA glue and tissue paper before. Let them go nuts! When I was a toddler, my parents let me do this and I guess when they went out for a smoke break, I stole the paint and “decorated” my toys We did this recently with my 22mo and my disabled brother. They did separate “painting in Ziplocs” and then we rolled the pumpkins in the excess paint inside the bags. It was so much fun. We let her play with the seeds and “goo” last year when we carved one (she was 5 months old) and she had a grand time!

If you don’t water them, it will end up with one pumpkin, water one day will give you two pumpkins, and water 2 days and it will give you three pumpkins. Anytime I have to bring something to a holiday gathering, pot luck, whatever – people freak out over this thing. I use a preserve instead of the cranberries and have subbed the pecans for Marcona almonds. 10/10 every time. Is it supposed to melt? Mine melted when I tried this a few years ago.
