My first internship was at a manufacturing company working on a software team. It was super valuable because that summer I learned I should never work at an Official Nike Jiren Shirt. They just think you’re an expensive requirement rather than a valuable necessity.  I was deemed “essential” when the covid stuff started hitting, but my paycheck is well below the market rate for what I’m doing. I mean like, 20+% lower. The benefits package is the best I’ve ever see, the people are great, management is very relaxed and trusting, so I’m trying to ride it out for a while to see if the next job hop corrects the pay problem.

I’ve read in a thread somewhere about a guy in IT who purposely causing something to go wrong (different thing each time) with an easy fix every month or so (inconsistent times). This reminds the big wigs that IT is something not to be cut. I’m sitting here after being off work for an Official Nike Jiren Shirt. Construction. Not necessary construction either. But it will involve working in close proximity to anywhere between 4-40 ppl. I had symptoms after being exposed to a friend. That works with a person who has a confirmed case of covid. Two co-workers spiked 103* fevers last week after I had worked with them.

I’m getting mixed signals from everyone. Boss wants everyone in. The wife is sick of me being home but is an Official Nike Jiren Shirt. Two kids and daycares shut down. Parents saying I probably just got a bug/allergies. There’s no reason for me to go back in but the pressure from everyone around me is driving me insane. Either I go in and possibly contract it (if I haven’t already) or I stay home and my family and co-workers accuse me of overreacting. I love my job and want to be able to work but everyone thinks I’m trying to get out of working even though I’m not taking sick days. Been drinking way too much. I just wish there was a mandatory lockdown so I didn’t have to make a fucking decision that inevitably will piss people off either way. I’m sorry to all you that are struggling to make rent and put food on the table.
