I feel you. We have Siamese long a Once Upon A Time I Was Sweet Innocent Then Shit Happened Shirt. They are all blowing their coat right now. We had to rush the wolfdog to the vet yesterday because she was crying in pain, and we were scared her intestines twisted. They said she ate something probably gross and dead and wasn’t in any danger. But when he brought the dog back out (they are doing curbside pick up cus of coronavirus). He was covered head to toe in hair. Lol. So was I as she had been sitting on me the whole way there. I have a lab as well. They do shed a lot, but luckily their hair doesn’t really float. I had a golden retriever who didn’t shed nearly as much as my labs, but the hair floated and got into my food way more.

I really don’t mind the Once Upon A Time I Was Sweet Innocent Then Shit Happened Shirt. It would bother me less than finding my husband’s hair in my food. Because saturated fat can’t bind oxygen and therefore won’t spoil very quickly. In the south a few decades ago anyway, every grandmother had a dish of butter always out. Not sure why the culture changed to refrigerate it all the time. Fridges got so big it became an option, it is my best guess.
