True. I can totally be The Cartoon Halloween Horror Jason Shirt done right. I had my doubts about season 3 and it ended up being my favorite season. The writers know the characters well enough to have fun with them at this point. It just gets harder to accept the idea that the “upside-down” keeps happening only around/near them. At what point are we gonna call in the army? lol. There are fans who pretend The Mist and Stranger Things occur within a couple of decades of each other. The Dept. of Energy creates the rift, Eleven seals it, but the Army reopens it 20 years later with Project Arrowhead. Pretty much how I feel as well.

I’m still entertained and I’ll watch the The Cartoon Halloween Horror Jason Shirt next season, but they haven’t quite been able to recreate the magic of season one. 1 was great because it was so new and fresh in a nostalgic way. 2 was kinda meh at best. 3 was everything that made 1 successful and then some. High hopes for 4, but I would’ve been alright with them ending it on 3 without the cliffhanger. I liked that they embraced the goofiness of Eighties media a bit in 3, but I really hope they don’t just lean into that going forward. Especially with the kids getting older.
