I personally loved season 1 and enjoyed 2&3. But I’m not pretending that I’m the target audience for this show anymore. In retrospect it’s pretty obvious they made season one so they could go anywhere after it. Anthology just ended it as a one-off or continue with the same cast and story. Personally I would have loved a connected universe anthology show. Castle Rock is kinda doing that, but I’ve yet to get through season 2 cause it’s just not as compelling.

Would have also liked This Is My Tired Mom Costume Funny Halloween Mom Shirt Stranger Things to have done a soft anthology, with the same characters fighting different classic-inspired monsters. The monster variants they’ve been sticking with just aren’t that compelling to me. Hmm, since I had a rather hard time getting all the way through season one, I probably should stay away from season two. I remember people being excited when they announced they were dropping that and bringing back the cast.
